Eden Cafe is always looking for new authors to submit posts. The main goal of our site is to bring together many communities and viewpoints, to let everyone have a voice and to cover a wide variety of topics.
Have some thoughts about anything covered in our category listing? Sex, sexuality, humor, community, news, events, politics, bdsm, lgbqt, relationships, sex and parenting, world events, health care, health and wellness issues, sexual health… you name it, we’re interested. We even do Word of the Week posts that have covered everything from Atheism to Watersports.
The only thing we do not accept is erotica. If you have something super sexy you’ve written, however, we do have something on Eden Fantasys called our Sex Fantasies Book where you can submit your erotic pieces and they’ll be turned into really neat fantasy product kits.
Writing articles/posts for Eden Cafe is a paying gig — though payment is, admittedly, Eden Fantasys gift cards. Think of it as a way to write the stuff you enjoy writing about and then getting paid in a currency you can only use to pamper yourself with. 
Articles should generally be minimum 500 words in length but under 1000 words with more serious or in depth posts being around 1500 words.
Word of the Week posts should definitely be under 1000 words. Those pay a straight $25 gift card.
Other posts are paid dependent upon length, either $25 or $50.
Gift card codes are emailed to you when your submission is accepted.
The only real rules are that 1) posts must be original and not posted elsewhere other than in very special circumstances and 2) you must be able to use decent grammar, punctuation and spelling. We try very hard to keep each article very much in the voice of it’s author and prefer to do as little editing as possible. Editing tends to change the voice, the tone. So use care before you submit that what you’re submitting is decently written and won’t require heavy use of the old red pen, please.

Feel free to email me with ideas for articles that we can discuss before you write or with full posts, ready to go pending approval. I can’t guarantee that I’ll accept every post I get but I have a super low turn down rate! If the post is not a good fit with Eden Cafe I’ll let you know. If it needs work and we can fix it, I’ll let you know. If it’s super and going to be published, I’ll let you know! Oh. I’ll also, if posts are accepted, need an “about you” blurb and user pic for your author page, so be prepared to supply those things. A link to your site will also go in your author profile as well as in our sidebar – and we definitely love it when you link back to us, as well!
Posts should be emailed as an attached text file of some sort rather than as the body of an email, please.
Submissions publish, for the most part, in the order they come in. We normally have about a three week list so what you submit today will publish anything between two – four weeks, depending on the size of the queue and the topic. Occasionally some topics post sooner – for example, when we have a week long topic and a lot of submissions. I can’t give a guaranteed post date so best bet is to subscribe to our RSS and keep an eye out. No article should take more than 4 weeks -unless you’ve submitted three or four in a short span of time – so if it’s been longer, please feel free to email me (edencafeadmin@gmail.com) and we’ll figure out what the hold up is.
