You’ve got to hand it to Nomi Tang to give her first sex toy a name that almost sounds more like a challenge. Better than Chocolate? Really? Ok now you’ve got my attention. I have to find out if it’s true. And that’s exactly what I set out to do.

I love the shape of clitoral vibrators that curve like a cupped hand, with a pointy end similar to your own finger. I find using them the same way I would my own fingers but with the added vibrations is amazing! Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find one that had the type of vibrations I love……until now.

The Better than Chocolate has deep rumbling vibrations that, at it’s highest level are actually quite strong. They can be felt throughout the whole vibrator but are much more noticeable in the tip. There are three different functions with several different levels of intensity or speed in each of them. The first function is the steady vibrations, the second is a staccato, and the third is a pulse that increases in intensity. And it is surprisingly quiet too. It sounds a lot like a cell phone set on vibrate.

All of this is controlled by an amazingly innovative, touch sensor, control panel at the top of the vibrator. To get the function you desire, all you have to do is touch the bottom of the sensor where the blue LED light is located for 2 seconds. And once there, slide your finger up or down the control panel to increase or decrease the intensity. Once you have it right where you want it, just touch the top of the sensor until the LED light turns red to lock in your setting.

The Better than Chocolate also has a dedicated on/off button that is located at the base of the vibrator. This is also where the battery compartment is. This takes 2 AAA batteries which are inserted into the base by simply twisting it a quarter of a turn and pulling it off.

At just 4 ¼” long and 2 ½” at it’s widest point, the Better than Chocolate fits nicely in the palm of my hand. It curves forward in a soft L shape and wings up a bit on each side, which makes it very easy to hold and control. It is very firm and perfect for those who love to use pressure. The surface is made of thermoplastic elastomer or TPR, and polycarbonate, which is phthalate free, hypo-allergenic and latex free. The texture has a wonderful velvety feel to it that is great for those who like a toy that have a bit of a drag to them. Since it is made of TPR any type of lubricant can be used with this. Also cleaning is quite easy because this is also a waterproof toy.

Did I say waterproof? Yes! You can take your Better than Chocolate into the tub or shower with you. Now you know you can’t say that about real chocolate. Just make sure you set the vibrations where you want them first, because it automatically locks once it gets wet.

Though this vibrator is not meant for internal use at all, but it is perfect for anywhere you might want to use it externally. It is long and wide enough to nestle the whole clitoral/labial area, and the tip is pointy enough to precisely hit just the right spots. And as I previously mentioned, it is firm enough to use as much or as little pressure as you like. The shape of it also works well when using it with a partner.

And all of this awesomeness comes beautifully packaged in a white cardboard box with a fitted velvet liner for the vibrator, similar to the kind you get from a jewelry store. It’s such a nice discreet box that you could even leave it out on your dresser, so it’s ready whenever you are.

Sooooooo…..is it better than chocolate? Well I wouldn’t exactly say that because, that would be like comparing apples to oranges.

But…..it is better than any other similar vibrator that I’ve tried so far. And I’ve tried a few of them. The Better than Chocolate has quickly become my favorite “go to” clitoral stimulator. I give it 5 out of 5 stars and my highest recommendation.
