Review Friday – Featuring Xhale

The Details: The Double Head Fantasy Deluxe, by Xhale Glass, is an impeccable example of a glass dildo. It measures seven and a half inches long and boasts a one inch diameter shaft with the largest portion of the bulbous heads being one and a half inches in diameter. Though this doesn’t seem huge, because of the firmness of glass, you feel every bit of this toys length and girth. The shaft is clear, flawless Pyrex glass with gold fumed u shaped ribbing along one side and a gold fumed head on the other complete with gorgeous pink and gold polka dots reminiscent of the Moon Plug.

Other than the four half moon ribs along the one side of the shaft, the Fantasy Deluxe is absolutely, perfectly smooth. The shaft is gently, elegantly and effectively curved. The polka dotted head is the larger of the two and is more rounded, more bulbous, less realistic. The clear head, atop the ribbing, is slightly more realistically shaped and a tad bit smaller.

Because of the bulbous heads and length of this toy it should be fully safe for anal and vaginal play. Use care whenever you’re playing anally though as it’s always possible for something without a true flanged base to slide too far into the anus.

I can’t even begin to properly explain how finely crafted and stunning this glass toy is. The clear glass is breathtakingly clear. I’ve searched and searched for any sort of visible flaw, either inside or outside, and cannot find one. The glass is perfect. The gold fuming is done internally so it seems to glow from inside the dildo with a pale and subtle warmth. It appears pink in some lights, a golden orange in others and at times a bit of both. And because it’s inside the clear glass you never have to worry that it will scratch or wear off. The beautiful colors will last as long as the toy does.

As always, glass toys can be heated or cooled for remarkable temperature play. They will hold onto temperatures for a nice while, allowing you to play with a chilled toy and experience it warming to your body or warming it first, to feel it cool down. Use running water to change the temperature – or even a bowl of water in the temperature you desire – rather than the freezer or microwave just to be on the safe side. Too hot or too cold can damage tender tissues. Remember, as well, that rapid changes in temperature can damage the toy so always heat or cool your toy gradually!

I feel bad even calling this a toy. It’s like a piece of art, something to be displayed and showcased and I feel miserable every time I put it away and out of sight — even though storing it properly is the best way to care for it.

Cleaning and Care: Like all glass, the Fantasy Deluxe is completely frictionless and sleek. It’s hard, firm, with no give or bend other than the subtle curve of its shaft. Very little lube is required with this toy though, if you need it, any lube is compatible with it. My personal preference is a tiny drop of silicone lube for long lasting play.

This piece comes with a red, velvety draw string bag that is luxuriously padded to protect it when not in use. While glass isn’t going to react with other toy materials, it is always best to store it in something padded to prevent it from being nicked or scratched and to keep dust on it’s surface to a minimum. If it does collect any dust or pet hair, simply rinse it down to remove the debris before use.

Glass can be cleaned with soap and water, toy cleaner or wipes — just be cautious with wipes as they can potentially rub any grit into the surface and scratch it. Best to use running water and a soft cloth to dry it. Glass sex toys can also be safely shared, either between people or between orifices, as it can be sterilized. Wash it in your dishwasher on the top shelf with no soap, boil it for a few minutes or soak or wipe it with a mild, ten percent bleach solution and you’re good to go.

The Experience: I have quite a few glass toys at this point; four or five dildos of varying shapes, sizes and textures as well as a few anal plugs. I love them all fairly equally for different reasons.

The primary reason I adore glass, however, is because of the way it loves my g-spot in return. Even straight glass manages to find it and massage it perfectly — though it requires more vigorous thrusting and precise angling.. The curve to this piece, however, means very little effort is needed to hit that spot dead on.

The larger head with it’s lovely polka dot fuming feels dreamy upon insertion. It’s large but so sleek and smooth and cool with plenty of surface area to stimulate the entire g-spot. The slightly smaller, clear head feels just as nice if a bit less pleasantly bulbous but it has the bonus addition of the half moon ribbing. The ridges are not super pronounced so they don’t feel intrusive or painful but do stimulate the entrance of your vagina very, very nicely. Once fully inserted, I stopped being able to really feel them but at the start, when you’ve first inserted the toy, they do wonders for that first inch filled with it’s numerous nerve endings, especially with shallow, rubbing thrusts.

Both ends are slightly pointed which comes in handy particularly when used anally. The slight point helps to ease the thick heads in more gradually, giving your body a bit of time to stretch and become used to the width before the largest part pops in.

Use care with glass as it’s inflexibility can cause bruising and pain if used too harshly!
