The great body hair debate.

Au naturale is having a comeback.  People are protesting the porn norm of shaved pussies and are growing a bush.  Some folks claim it’s anti feminist to shave.  Some folks bash the look as being prepubescent and foul.

And, ya know, I tend to be pretty vocal about things like genital surgeries to give everyone tiny labia and anal bleaching to give everyone a pretty pink ass and bad boob jobs and the idea that only skinny, modified, unnatural bodies are attractive.

But I can’t join in when it comes to shaving.

I happen to like bare pussy.  Bare underarms and legs, too.

I happen to dislike body hair.

In fact, I hate it.

Now that’s not to say I’d turn someone down because they have body hair.  Or that I don’t find people with body hair attractive at all.  Or that I hate them because they have body hair.  I tend to like people for who they are and not what they look like.  I believe in personal choice, believe in doing what feels and looks good to us as individuals.

But, for myself?  I’ll keep shaving, thanks.

I like looking down and seeing the individual parts of my pussy without hair in the way.  I like the way my skin glistens when it’s wet or full of lube.  I like the petal soft feeling of freshly shaved or waxed pussy.  I like to look down when my guy has his tongue on my clit and be able to see my clit and his tongue.

I like the look of soft, smooth skin.

And it has nothing to do with the porn norm.  I’ve been shaving longer than the girls in porn have.

It has nothing to do with a youthful look.  Seriously.  Bare, shaved pussy doesn’t look young to me. I’ve seen enough bald old ones to have lost that notion a LONG time ago. (Anyone who has worked up close and personal with the elderly can tell you…  we lose our pubic hair as we age.  And an old bald pussy doesn’t look young.  It just looks like an old bald pussy.  Just like mine looks like a bald 40 year old pussy and not a prepubescent pedophiles dream.  In fact, I’d wager most people who like a bare cootch like it for reasons that have nothing to do with youth, teens or pedophilia. But that’s another topic for another time…)  It just looks sleek and smooth and pretty to my eyes.

Personal preference, man.  And mine is for shaved legs and armpits and a hairless pussy I can admire every time I look between my legs.  I hate body hair.

Maybe I’ve just bought into the hype.  Maybe it’s been the norm so long that it’s what seems “right” to me.  Who knows?  Hell, I don’t even mind the work and effort and occasional pain that goes along with smooth, hairless skin. That almost has to be a conditioned response, eh?

I’ve been nicking and cutting and tweezing and pulling and tearing and waxing and sugaring for more than half my life.  Not because some man told me to or because some model or porn star looks a certain way but because the results give me skin I like to touch.
